On Monday nights Competition Zoom meeting – Three on a Theme we have decided to have the judge attend the meeting to provide feedback on our photos, the judge will not awarding any scores on the night.

PHPC Covid Update
Dear Members,
It is with much pleasure that I update you on a meeting I had with the Minister of Beecroft-Pennant Hills Uniting Church. We are able to return to our meetings under the following Covid rules, as they stand today (which means things could change) – see below.
The committee has decided that we will only return to face to face meetings if the majority of the members are in agreement and will feel safe in doing so. Please read the information below and then answer the few questions on survey monkey. Clicking the link in red will take you to a short survey. PLEASE COMPLETE BY SUNDAY 19TH JULY 2020 https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/YLDGHNF
- We can only have 27 people in the hall (26 members plus 1 judge) – this equals 4 sq mt per person
- Everyone has to have their temperature tested before entering the building
- A record is to be kept of all attendees and their temperature – a copy is to be sent to the church contact
- We can not use any of the kitchen facilities – any food and/or drinks is to be provided by you, the individual (not to be shared) and then taken home to clean/dispose of
- All pews, tables, toilets etc is to be spray down with Glen 20 before leaving
- Follow Covid rules and guidelines from the Australia Government
To help us stay safe
- Always practise good hygiene, wash your hands for 20 seconds with soap and water, cover your coughs, avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth.
- If you are not well stay at home
- Maintain social distance of at least 1.5 metres when outside your home.
- Avoid physical greetings such as handshaking, hugs and kisses.
- Use tap and go instead of cash.
- Travel at quiet times and avoid crowds.
- Be well informed – only use trusted official information. Download the Coronavirus Australia mobile phone app, subscribe to the Coronavirus Australia WhatsApp service, and visit www.australia.gov.au for the latest information.
Symptoms of coronavirus include:
- fever
- coughing
- sore throat
- fatigue
- shortness of breath
Seek medical advice if you are sick.

Presentation – Monday night 6th July 2020 – Zoom log in
Hi all members,
I hope you are well. I hope to have news soon as too when we can start meeting back at the hall (with COVID 19 guidelines in place of course).
Due to our Christmas in July dinner being cancelled, we have been fortunate to secure Robin and Timothy Moon to present to us ‘Married to Photography’ – two very successful photographers who just happen to be married… or were they married and then became successful photographers? Competition Open & Set-Architecture Online Scoring is now open
Hi All
It is long past time to participate in on-line scoring of fellow club members’ photos.
- Go into the PHPC website and click on MEMBERS panel.
- When this opens up, on the right hand side click on the blue panel with the star, labelled On Line Scoring.
- A page headed Online Scoring for 05 Open & Set – Architecture will appear with the eight categories of photos in the competition. Read Online Scoring Information and use the score out of five. Click on the first category and follow the instructions in the green panel: How to use this page.
Critiquing other’s photographs is a good way to develop your understanding of photography. Closes Friday 26th June. Enjoy and learn.

Photo Rally – save the date!
Hi all
I hope that you are all staying well. Things are starting to get back to normal and I’m hoping that we will be able to resume face to face meetings in the not too distant future – let’s see.
In regards to the Photo Rally, we are planning that this will go ahead (unless we have another shut down then the back up plan will be put into place). Please see the details below.
PHPC Photo Rally Date: Saturday 25th July 2020 Time: All day and hopefully a night shoot for those interested. We will meet for lunch/and or dinner. No public transport available. Partners welcome. All the information (details of the area, a map, and the rules will be sent out Tuesday 21st of July. The Competition 08 will be held Monday 31st Aug - Set only - Photo rally: A photo taken during our Photo Rally and complying with the Photo Rally Rules.
