Following on from the discussion on Monday night all our entries in the FCC Interclub will be selected from entries that you upload onto the FCC Interclub Tab listed in our usual Competition upload section on our website.
In the last 12 months many of these categories below have had images entered or uploaded for consideration into other categories. I am asking for you to now upload them into the FCC competition tab and where they fit into the category listed. (The good news for many of these images is that you have already prepared them for uploading so it should be quick and easy.
All entries must be uploaded by 11.55pm on Friday 20th September but I would like them as soon as possible (ha ha, before I start nagging you all individually for them – in about a week’s time).
The categories are as follows:
Fine Art Print (the only print section this year) – the image communicates a story, mood or creative intention and where the printmaking significantly contributes to the impact of the photo and the image is mounted as per the Print Handling Policy. (please contact me if you have any questions)
All the rest are digital:
Action: think sports, wildlife, event, travel, vehicle that portrays action. May include panning or any other indication of movement.
Astro: an image that fully or prominently features the night sky. All images must be taken when the sun is below the horizon it its entity (basic post processing including multiple exposures and stitching of panoramas allowed.
Digital Art – originated as one or more photographs taken by the photographer and has undergone significant post processing.
Flora – any plant, part of a plant, or groups of plants, including fungi, still life, landscape, drone, macro etc.
Nature – as per the usual requirements in our Nature competition earlier this year.
Portrait – image of a person or persons who are participating in the creation of a photo. At least one person in the image must have all or part of their face visible. Think self-portrait, studio photography (that you have set up yourself), portraits showing people in their work or other environment.
Staged – an image intentionally set up by the photographer – think still life, pet, food or toy (images which qualify for portrait are not permitted).
Urban – an image taken within a built-up environment (city, town, street or park) that communicate a story, idea, mood or other creative intention. Includes street, architecture, photojournalism, aerial, drone, urban and travel photography.
I am really looking forward to seeing your entries for consideration. We need ten entries per category with a limit of 2 per person each category. In a nutshell, we will only enter each category if we get enough entries
Thanking you all in advance.
Regards
Janne
