2023 CALENDAR
A summary of the year’s outings, presentations and
competitions is available on the Club website (in “Information About Your
Club”).
· FIRST
CLUB MEETING – 7.30pm, Monday 6 February
Our first meeting starts in three weeks. There will be awards, presentations on what
judges look for in a winning photograph, a proposal for members interested in developing
a photographic series, and more. Please
note a gold coin donation is asked for as a contribution towards refreshments.
· MEMBERSHIP
FEES
Membership Fees for 2023 are:
- Standard membership: $100.00
- Senior / Concession Holder (Senior’s /
Pensioner’s Card): $95.00
- School Student (Under 18): $45.00
- Non-competing member (ineligible to enter
competitions): $60.00

Fees are payable before the first competition (Monday
20th February 2023).

competition. The Set Topic is “Long
Exposure: An image with a shutter speed of 1 second for more.”

NSW National Parks photo competition
Looking for something special to photograph over the Christmas-New Year period?
The NSW National Parks photo competition is an opportunity for photographers to showcase the incredible beauty and diversity of our National Parks and reserves and help tell the story of our important natural places and cultural heritage.
Visit NSW National Parks and reserves between 13 December 2022 and 31 January 2023, snap some photos with your camera or phone and enter them into the competition.

The 2023 Maitland International Salon of Photography is open for entries and will be closing at 11.59pm (AEDT) on 7 January 2023. This will be the 67th running of the Salon.

Our Club Comp Monday Night
Just a reminder that any photo or part of a photo that is being entered for Monday nights comp must have been taken during one of the clubs posted events, i.e. Newcastle, Kiama, Photo Rally, a club event at the church hall or the night out around Milson’s Point. For example if you are replacing a sky in a photo that sky must have been taken at a club event as well as the original image this also includes any object placed within the image.
Small prints are as per the competition rules NO additions to the image and very minor adjustments are permitted.
Also a reminder that all images are governed by the size of image and the frame, with the exception of digital
