The PHPC Annual General Meeting.
We plan to have a short camera workshop exercise afterwards so please bring your cameras and tripods. The subject will be shooting a Still Life photo. We will be providing lights and small photo boxes. Bring a small prop if you wish to take a photo of.
Our own member, Don Dickins, will give a presentation on the topic of Still Life Photography.
We are familiar with still life photographs of food, flowers, bottles of wine, shoes, jewellery, appliances and equipment as used in advertising. Still life photography, the depiction and arrangement, generally, of mainly inanimate objects, gives the photographer many challenges in the choice of the design elements used within the composition. Lighting, as always in photography, is part of that challenge. This presentation will help members prepare for the Competition Topic on Still Life on 17 June 2019.
