About Us

PHPC is a medium-sized club of around 40-50 members. Our members range in skill from enthusiastic novices to experienced photographers. The club has a few members who are judges.

We have a number of members who run the mentoring program for our newer members to learn the capabilities of their camera(s). We are large enough to support the growth of members but small enough to be a community, where all members can know each other. The club is here to challenge us to get the best from ourselves and our cameras

Dear Members

I hope that you are continuing to stay safe and healthy.

A committee meeting was held last night (Monday 27th July) and due to the 2nd wave of covid we have voted to continue Zoom meetings for the month of August. We will have another meeting next month to reevaluate the situation again.

Please see the events coming up for August via zoom.

  • Monday 3rd August – Presentation – Black and White Photography by Len Metcalf
  • Monday 17th August – Competition – Set only – Made from Metal
  • Monday 24th August – Committee Meeting
  • Monday 31st August – Competition – Photo Rally – details sent out

Zoom details to be sent out a few days before the meeting. To those that are joining the meeting, thank you – zoom meetings are not the same as meeting face to face but it is a way to connect with each other.

To the committee I thank you for your time and dedication to the club as we have had to do things differently and meet more regularly than previous years – I appreciate your commitment. We are part of an amazing club.

I look forward to seeing you on zoom! (You can bring your own wine and bickies)!!!

Till then stay safe and well.
