Parramatta 4 – 10 pm
Hi everyone,
As I mentioned Monday night we will visit the Parramatta district for an outing. Even though there is construction going on we will use this as an opportunity to photography the changes happening as well as other areas of Parramatta. Please see the meeting information below (# = numbers on map attached)
Initial meet: 4:00 pm at Bankwest Stadium #3 (Opposite St Patrick’s Cathedral)
2nd Meeting place: 6.00pm at George St Gatehouse #10
Dinner @7.15 at Alex & Co 125 Church St Parramatta Directions: from Parramatta Heritage & Visitor Information Centre (#14) walk over the Lennox Bridge and it will be on your left.
Print this sheet off and bring it, and a map (attached), with you so you don’t get lost.
Getting There:
- Drive and park – you will be lucky to get a free car park, so some options are park near the Catholic School after school hours, or the shopping Centre car park (Westfield) or the parking lot just south of the Bankwest Stadium
- Catch a bus – from the city west along Victoria Rd; Bus from Parramatta Railway Station up Church St; Bus from Castle Hill down Windsor Rd and then Church St: Bus 600 from Hornsby to Parramatta (it goes around the world)
- Ferry – Catch a ferry from Circular Quay or Meadowbank or Rydalmere to Parramatta
- Train – Disembark at Parramatta Station and navigate to Bankwest Stadium
You can get maps from the Parramatta Heritage & Visitors Information Centre near the north eastern end of the Lennox Bridge that crossed Parramatta River on Church St across the road from the Riverside Theatre.
If you were not at the last Monday’s meeting can you email me to confirm that you are coming for the outing and for dinner (we would like to book especially for catering purposes).
Hope to see you there. Email/phone me with any questions.
